This place has amazing everything we ordered. The pepper Jack boudin balls and egg rolls were great. The cracklings were by far the best on this trip. If you stop in Baton Rouge this is the place to go.
When I walked into Bergeron's, I smell the aroma. It makes really hungry thinking about what food to eat. I love that there's specialty meats for you to purchase. In this photo: Venison burritos, pepper jack chicken bite, pepper jack boudin ball, and bacon wrapped chicken popper. Everything taste delicious. I had a venison burrito for my first time and you are going to need your own! It's too good to share. They don't miss on the flavor. I can taste the seasoning. It'll be put you to sleep afterwards. Employees are friendly every time I visit. I haven't tried to the sides or food plates because burrito is my comfort food. But I guess I need to do that at some point!
Everything was amazing . The smoked spicy chicken wings were flavorful . Loved the steak and cream cheese wrapped in bacon . The black jack boudin egg rolls were phenomenal . I wish I would have ate here first .
Was here visiting and absolutely loved the chicken cracklin and pastalaya! In my Keith Lee voice “it was a 10/10 God is amazing.”
Gumbo was on point, with plenty of ingredients. The chicken burger was little spicy but grilled perfectly. Chicken thighs were delicious. Tried side of baked potato casserole, interesting taste. Staff was friendly and professional. The Gonzales restaurant was extremely clean and well stocked. Definitely be back to eat in the future.
Driving through Louisiana and we came across this gem. Delicious!! You walk through the door and you are hit with the best smells ever. Everyone was so friendly and the food is slap your momma good! We had boudin balls and the steak, jalapeno, cream cheese, wrapped in bacon Popper. Daaaaamn. So dang good!
I didn't get any boudin to eat here, but, you can get it fresh from the meat case to take home or have it heated to eat on location. I had the Venison Burrito, Smoked Chicken Wings and Cheese Stuffed Boudin Balls. The smoked ham hock made excellent soup and I believe that this location smokes and makes everything themselves. The smoked boudin I did take home.....OMG! I wrapped them in moist paper towels and popped them in the microwave....they were beautifully smoked and was by far, some of the best smoked boudin I have eaten.
Had the stack street tacos. They were good. Plenty of meat. The sauce was not so hot that it over powered the rest. No table service. Kind of cafe feel about the place. There were only two other tables taken. A lot of people just ordered to go.
